LONGVIEW - Longview High School's Loboes defeated the Troup football team at Fair Park Friday, 25 to 0. The Troup team was clearly outclassed by the local team in every department of the game, their only gains being around left end.
Adams sustained a fractured rib early in the game, but stayed in despite the handicaps. The whole Longview team played fair football considering their inexperience. Williams, who is playing his first year of football, did excellent work and bids fair to become one of the best backs Longview has ever had. Ross at quarterback, while not running his team at top form, made several nice gains. The next game is with Mount Pleasant on Friday, October 22nd. Come out and help the locals win, as each game now coins on Class B records. |
