MARSHALL - Starting fast yesterday, Marshall High School, in the game with Longview High School in Marshall, made three touchdowns in the first quarter, and thus in the early part of the game assured a victory over the visitors from Longview. The game ended 28 to 6.
Longview's inability to punt at crucial moments, three of the punts being blocked by Marshall that resulted in touchdowns for the Harrison county lads, contributed materially to the defeat of the Longview team.
After the first disastrous quarter, the Longview team settled down and the game was a much harder fought affair than the final score would indicate.
Quite a large number attended the game from the this city, making the trip in automobiles.
