LONGVIEW - Longview High School finished gridiron class in the pinches yesterday that was sufficient to hold back the Centenary Academy visitors on the local field and prevent them from getting across a counter in the grueling contest, whereas the local lads put across a touchdown an ended the game by the decisive margin of 6 to 0.
While outweighed, the High School boys were faster and had a superb defensive showing. The lone touchdown of the game came after a high school player recovered a block punt attempted by the boys from Shreveport and rared across the goal line.
With the game yesterday, Longview High continues its season's record without a defeat to mark the perfect standing, and percentage of victories given a considerable boost.
