LONGVIEW - The Longview Lobos smothered the Carthage Bulldogs, 50 to 0, here Friday night before a crowd of 4,000.
Paced by Clark, Eberhardt, Adams, Hearne, Jeffress and Smith, the Pack scored in every quarter except the second. In the third, Clark ran 30 yards and lateraled to Eberhardt, who ran 20 yards for pay dirt. Clark went over again a few minutes later after Hearne had raced for 30 yards. In the fourth stanza, Jeffress picked up 35 and Smith pushed over and ran the extra point. Jeffress later took a Carthage punt and galloped 42 yards for a touchdown and ran his extra point. The next score was unusual in that Clark passed to Abney, and then Clark took the lateral and finished the stretch for a total of 60 yards. The final score came as the result of Eberhardt snagging Van Zandt's pass and loping 44 yards for the stripe. Van Zandt, Stoddard and Sepaugh stood out for Carthage. |
