QUARTERBACK: Longview's Aaron Johnson and Rayshone McGee are sharing snaps this season and have combined for nearly 1,900 passing yards. Michael Brewer of Lake Travis has accounted for 4,837 yards of offense and 64 touchdowns.
OTHER OFFENSE: Longview running back Tyler McCray, who missed most of last year's state championship game with a left ankle injury, ran for 125 yards on five carries last week before injuring his left ankle again. McCray is expected to play Saturday. Andy Erickson has 1,024 rushing yards and 1,259 receiving yards this season to complement his 35 offensive touchdowns.
DEFENSE: Longview shut out three of its five October opponents, but the Lobos are allowing 20.2 points per game in the playoffs. Lake Travis, which hasn't allowed more than 20 points in a game since Sept. 25, forced five turnovers last week against Pearland Dawson.
Special Teams: Kyle Jenkins has seven field goals this season, but he hasn't kicked a three-pointer in Longview's past four games. Kramer Fyfe has been busy for Lake Travis this season, converting 76 point-after attempts and 12 field goals.
INTANGIBLES: The Lobos, whose lone loss this season came against Class 5A Lufkin, have fared well in close games this post season, winning two of their playoff games by a combined four points. Lake Travis, which is looking for its third straight championship, and its 46th straight win, beat Longview 48-23 in last year's Class 4A Division I state championship game.
