RALLIED BY: SOC GETS PAST LONGVIEW, 20-17
LONGVIEW - A year ago, Longview and Dallas South Oak Cliff scored at will in a 45-44 SOC win at Lobo Stadium.

On Friday, points were hard to come by but the result was the same - a 20-17 SOC win over the Lobos at Kincaide Stadium.

The Lobos drop to 2-1 with the loss while Dallas SOC improves to 2-1 with the victory.

Longview is now 6-2-1 all-time against SOC in a series that dates back to 1956.

A Jayden Williams 28-yard touchdown pass to Delvin Cook with 7:38 left in the contest proved to be the game-winner for SOC. The play capped a five-play, 76-yard drive for the Bears.

The Lobos had taken a 17-10 lead midway through the fourth quarter when Jacaiden Davis broke loose on a 22-yard run on third-and-14 to give the Lobos a first down at the SOC 5-yard line.

Four plays later, Kylon Cummings crashed into the end zone for the Lobos to put Longview on top by a TD with just over six minutes remaining.

SOC mounted an 11-play drive to trim the deficit to four on a 31-yard field goal, and then Williams and Cook connected for the late TD to make the final 20-17.

Williams passed for 175 yards and a TD, and Levon Morton carried 22 times for 134 yards for SOC.

Johnny Hamilton passed for 47 yards and rushed for 16 in the loss for the Lobos. Mason Washington carried 11 times for 37 yards, Davis three times for 54 yards, Makaden Frazier five times for 23 yards and Cummings eight times for 22 yards.

Jaden Hurndon caught two passes for 35 yards.

The Lobos will leave the state for next Friday's game, visiting Ruston, Louisiana.
